Review summary

Overall I would say Royal has by far better shows than Carnival but I've had more fun in the past on Carnival overall. This was still a great cruise.

Super fast and only took 20-30 minutes to get on the ship.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Only went to the MDR and buffet. Food was ok. On par with Carnival.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5

Lots of activities. Flowrider and slides were fun. Stayed busy never got bored.

Entertainment

4 out of 5

Stage shows were by far the highlight of the cruise. WOW. Saturday night fever and ice skating show. Couldn't have been better(I've walked out of every Carnival show I've been to). However the comedian was horrible on royal. (Carnival comedians were the highlight of past cruises).

Service and Staff

As always the staff was phenomenal! 10+ rating as on all past cruises. They are always so nice and willing to help.

Ship Quality

Ship was very clean. You see staff cleaning all the time. Ship is getting older but I know that prior to sailing. Still very nice ship

This was a guaranteed room. Perfect location close to the aft elevators and dining.

Totally agree. We think food is better on Carnival and more of party/dun ship. RC is cleaner and entertainment is amazing. Just our opinion.
