Review summary
From the moment we left New Jersey, until we arrived in Galveston, the seas were pretty calm, and Liberty rode smooth and fast. Arrival in Puerto Rico at 4:30 meant little time to see much before dark. Two Royal Caribbean excursions on St. Thomas (Jeep Adventure) and St Martin ((Land and Sea tour) were unexpectedly inexpensive and very entertaining. Then on to Curacao where the stores were closed (Sunday) but we were on a great AT^V ride around the Eastern part of the island. On to Grand Cayman and then Galveston.
Seven sea days gave us plenty of time to relax and read. The Ice show was excellent, the stage shows and entertainers in the theater what you'd expect. My Time dining gave us exposure to lots of other cruisers (who knew there were so many Texans with Diamond or higher status!). and the food was good if not exceptional.
A disturbing trend at RCI on these mega ships is the creeping loss of free services in favor of paying for slightly enhanced versions (e.g. no soft ice cream machines, but you can buy a cone at Ben & Jerrie's, cupcake shop. etc.).
