Review summary
Embarkation / Debarkation - Both were very fast and easy. We were on the ship in about 15/20 minutes after our arrival at the terminal. After finding our luggage at the end of the cruise, about the same.
Room - we had balcony room 8532. The room was very spacious as normal with a balcony room. Our attendant Raj was superb and always kept our ice bucket filled. Plenty of spaces for storage in every room.
Dining - We had early seating in the MDR (Rembrandt). Our servers Gilberto and Amil were really good. The food was really good (much better than other cruiselines we have been on) and the variety was really good also. The Windjammer buffet was really good for breakfast and lunch (try to sit center back at breakfast to meet Slobadan - the waiter from Serbia). A lot of variety for just about any appetite. And Chops Grill was fabulous for our anniversary dinner.
Entertainment - the shows were really good. We saw almost all of the shows including Saturday Night Fever and the Ice Show. Both were really good. Lounge entertainment was good also. We didnt hit for a million in the casino but we had fun.
Spa - the spa is beautiful and relaxing. We had a couple's massage and were not disappointed.
Bars - Bars are plentiful on the Liberty. We spent most of our time in the Schooner Bar with Nicoli and Nuno (and the rest of the gang) and they were fun, entertaining, and educational. Also - Preston (aka Dr. Booze) was still at work at the Pool Bar after being with Royal for 19 years (we met him on our first cruise out of NYC on the Nordic Empress)!
All in all - the cruise was relaxing and entertaining - which is all you can hope a cruise would be. The food was really good and we met a lot of great staff and other guests from all over. The port times at the ports were a little strange but we managed anyhow. And the day at Labadee was great!
