Review summary
This was our second cruise with Royal Caribbean and we have already booked a third for this fall. We have done ten other cruises on three other lines and we find that RCL is equal or superior in virtually all the important categories. After our last RCL cruise, out of Bayonne on the Explorer of the Seas, we gave RCL good marks, but did complain that their debarkation process was slow and arduous. This trip however, the process was far improved and smoother than at the Manhattan terminal. The Liberty of the Seas is a very large, stable ship and the ride was outstanding. The staff was excellent and we were extremely impressed with our waiters. If we were asked to find any negative aspect for this trip, it would probably be that our time in the ports of call seemed shorter than usual, and although it didn't affect us, several of our fellow travelers seemed disappointed.

Ship tip
If you are coming from New England, be aware that you must cross the Hudson River and you would be well advised to take a limo or bus. On our trip down, the George Washington Bridge was tied up for hours and the Bayonne Bridge was closed for repairs. Fortunately, our bus driver got us there on time.
