Nice but not excellent

Sail Date: December 01, 2014

The Liberty of the Seas staff were excellent.  However, ports of call were mediocre at best.  Labadee is a private island that offers nothing but another chance to purchase items brought ashore from the ship.  Beach is very rocky and activities are very high priced.  We walked about for the exercise and returned to the ship for a decent lunch.

The ice show was excellent.  However, evening entertainment was average.  Another juggler....  and the "Saturday Night Fever" show was so loud that it hurt the ears.  Great dancing, but a very slow plot broadcast at a high decibel level.

We have cruised with Royal Carib before and find them superior to Carnival.  However, I would not recommend this cruise to Labadee and Ocho Rios.  There are other ports of call where one can escape from the Ship company shops and experience the local vendors and cuisine.
