Review summary

Wonderful way to take a first trip to europe. Would do it again. I enjoyed all the shows on the cruise and the dinners as well. I was a little disappointed with the other activities on the ship. They seemed a little too focus'd on trying to generate additional profit on every turn.

my fault should have booked a balcony, the third bed drops down from the ceiling over the king like a sailors bunk

Ship tip

Go to the dining room for meals, by far better quality and more enjoyable.

Ports of call

Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy

very far away from the city, no available information on transportation provided by the cruise ship on how to get to the ship. There is a bus that will take you from the Train station to the Port and another shuttle from the port entrance to the ship. Very confusing and not well designed by the Cruise terminal.

Naples, Italy

excellent access to the city from the port. Naples is not a real destination but a good place to get something to eat and buy some basic items. Over all enjoyed the tour we took to pompeii

Barcelona, Spain

It was a very short stay in this city. I would have liked to spend more time here, an eveining in this location is really necessary and stopping here on a Sunday is not the best day to visit.

Marseille (Provence), France

Port is very far from the Cruise terminal. We took a cab into town. Ship could not provide very good information on how to get from the terminal to town. We really enjoyed the walk up to Notre dame de la guarde but should have visited other locations while in this port.

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

beautiful little beach town, easy access from the ship, also easy access to the train station from the port if you want to visit other locations

La Spezia, Italy

Very difficult to get to tourist destinations from this port, cruise ship should provide information about train station, or shuttle to local transportation as well as times.
