Great celebration

Sail Date: December 01, 2012

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Family w/older children

Room Type: Oceanview

Lovely large ship, fantastic service. We were in four cabins with nine people, three rooms on Deck 2 and one room on Deck 6. Had a great time celebrating our 35th Wedding Anniversary with our children/spouses.

Pros: Excellent service in Main Dining room.

Cons: Disembarkation was very long and tedious. Better communication or longer breakfast period would have helped.

Recommends Liberty of the Seas? Yes!

Service and Staff
Clement was excellent at communication - we knew when he worked and how to tell him we were out so he could work on our room - loved that! Nadia and Seren were the best servers I have ever had anywhere (Main Dining Room) - we looked forward to seeing them each night!!
Ship Quality
There were 4,401 people aboard, we were told, but it did not seem crowded. The only congestion we noticed was around the pool (Deck 11), in the elevators (we took the stairs to burn calories!) and in the dining areas on the last day for Breakfast.
Food and Dining
Main Dining Room food was excellent, we had a 6:00 pm dinner with all nine of us at one table. We loved ordering foods we had never tried before and sharing comments with one anther about what we liked or did not like. The staff was exceptional! WindJammer was same food every day, lacking fresh fruits and vegetables (other than whole bananas, apples or kiwi). Room service was limited but good.
Cabin / Stateroom
We had one three person room and three two person rooms. All were spacious and pretty clean. We did find a few things from prior occupants in the closet or behind the drawers, but it was ok. The sofabed prooved to be more comfortable than most for the 3 person room.
Pedro played for dining enjoyment and we like him so much we went for the singing in the Schooner too - so good! The shows were great, especially liked the Beatles show. Bingo was fun but more expensive than we liked. Pools were wonderful, although somewhat congested on deck 11 so we mostly used the quietness on deck 12 to enjoy the sun and scenery.
