Bad Royal cruise!

Sail Date: January 24, 2013

Reviewed: 3 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This is our third cruise with R.C. and our 6th total. We were very disappointed with our room, it was a Promanade room, noisey, screaming kids and adults running up and down the halls. The room smelled like urine and was not very clean. You usually get a basket of toiletries...nothing...we had to ask for towels daily, our rooms were not cleaned till late day. The ship was so crowded, it was over whelming at times just to get from point a to b. The food selection was so disappointing, and now they are asking for you to pay if you want lobster, or a nice steak..ridiculous. We already paid for the cruise which includes meals and the selection was poor.
The dining room staff was great, but we waited 30 minutes each evening for dinner! Poor quality.
Days at Sea were crazy because the pool area was so over-crowded you had no seats available..we missed out on alot of activities. It was over-booked.
I don't know if we will plan another cruise on R.C., we have always been such a strong advocate of the cruise line, but not any longer.

We are planning a 60th wedding anniversary cruise for my parents along with my two siblings and spouses for 2014, we will not consider Royal Carr. again.
