Review summary

Clean and large! There was never a dull moment because there is always something happening. From the sports activities like the flow rider and the rock-climbing wall, to the evening dancing, broadway shows, and multiple course meals, there was not enough time to explore everything!

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Dining room food was excellent as always on Royal Caribbean. The Windjammer Cafe food may have taken a step down from where it used to be. It was still good though and there was a lot of variety.

Entertainment

So much to do, so little time! I didn't get to try half of the things I wanted to. I will be looking into a longer cruise next time for sure!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Some of the hardest working people I have ever met! They were all wonderful and so much fun. The only person that seemed a bit odd was our waiter. He seemed a little socially challenged although he still did his job well. The airline lost my luggage and Eduardo at the guest relations desk was incredibly helpful. He called the airline and helped me file the claim. He provided me with laundry vouchers to clean my clothes until the airline could send my luggage to me. He also allowed me to borrow a dress for free so that I would not miss out on formal night. Considering that my lost luggage was through no fault of their own, I really feel that the staff went well above and beyond what is expected.

Great!

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
We stayed in the small interior room which was sufficient since I was never in my room except to sleep for a few hours before arriving at our next port. If you enjoy spending time in the room, I would recommend a bigger room, however. Our cabin stuard was attentive and always left the room in great shape, even with our massive amounts of shopping bags we had strewn throughout the room. The one con that I have (perhaps it was just this cruise) is that Royal Caribbean used to place the best chocolate mints on your pillow when they turned down your bedding. They didn't do that this time, nor did the cabin stuard create their famous towel animals. An extremely small detail in the grand scheme. To have this be my only complaint speaks towards the effort put in by the staff on the ship. Excellent job!

Ports of call

Villefranche-Sur-Mer, France

This was my least favorite port. Villefranche was very pretty and definitely a tourist destination. However, we took the train to Nice which was about 5 miles from Villefranche. I found the people in the shops and restaurants near the train station to be extremely stuffy and rude. Not to mention the fact that this area of Nice smelled like urine. Perhaps did not visit the ideal area of Nice and this is not a fair judgment. When we went to return to Villefranche on the train, we ran into difficulty. All of the monitors only list final destinations. Villefranche was merely a stop so we had no way of knowing which train was the correct train to take back. Using my phrasebook and minimal recollection of French, I asked around and no one wanted to help us. Finally after seeing us struggle for a good 1/2 hour, a fellow passenger helped us and informed us that the train that we wanted to be on was actually the one with Italy as a final destination. Who would have known?
Don't Miss: Sandwich cafe almost directly in front of and a up some steps from where the tender leaves. Excellent sandwiches on fresh french bread. Definitely the highlight of France for me.

Palma De Mallorca, Balearic Islands

Absolutely beautiful! Friendly cab drivers, historical and fun downtown area. Great sangria and tapas and an incredible beach!
Don't Miss: Our cab driver took us to the beach that he called the "English-speaking" beach. It was about 10 minutes by taxi and absolutely beautiful!

Pros: The variety of things to do.

Cons: Nice, France
