What a Ship

Sail Date: August 16, 2008

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (young children)

Room Type: Oceanview

The ship was spacious even with 3500 guests.

Pros: The ship itself.

Cons: Only three ports.

Recommends Liberty of the Seas? Yes!

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
I like Orient Beach. Take a cap.. The water color is amazing. The liquor is cheap in St. Marteen.
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
I don't like that the cruise line controls everything and pricing at this port. Would prefer to go somewhere else.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
The Liberty of the Seas gets in the port at 3:00 pm. and doesn't offer the best of Puerto Rico IMHO. I hired a guide and went to the El Yunque Forest and hiked and did some swimming in the beautiful waterfalls. If anyone is interested , the guide is John Druitt and he will pick you up and drop you off. The rain forest is incredible. We had him drop us off in Old San Juan and ate at Cafe Puerto Rico. The food was excellent.
Don't Miss: El Yunque Rain Forest
