Fantastic Ship

Sail Date: September 15, 2007

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Inside

This was my first cruise so I don't have any comparison but I believe that Liberty of the Seas was beyond any preconceived ideas I may have had about a cruise ship. We got the smallest possible stateroom (inside) and were fantastically surprised at the spaciousness, comfort of the "king" bed, the flat screen TV that could be moved around and the very nice bathroom and shower.

Pros: Brand new boat

Cons: Ports of call

Recommends Liberty of the Seas? Yes!

Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
The beaches were great. We walked around the entire area and got some very nice photos. We never went in the water but enjoyed sitting by it in a shady chaise. The music was a nice touch and the BBQ was quite decent.
Don't Miss: Walk up to Dragon's Breath to hear the "dragon" and check out the views.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
We went on the Bacardi tour which was good and did a "city tour" but we couldn't see out of the bus very well and it was dark on the way home. We were only given 20 minutes at the fort at that was NOT enough time.
Don't Miss: The Fort was fantastic and you don't need a tour. You can walk there from the ship.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten
We rented a car ourselves for $60 and drove around the island, stopping for lunch. It was extremely hot and humid so it wasn't pleasant. The island is beautiful, though. We did some shopping in the hour we had left.
Don't Miss: Shopping!
