Make it better

The Liberty of the Seas is an extraordinary ship. The different designs and the myriad of details devoted to making places feel different, and appropriate, for separate venues was wonderful to experience. The staff was amazing, friendly, helpful and made things fun. When you think of all of the food that has to be prepared every day, it was astonishing to eat it and have the tastes explode into your mouth; no bland or tasteless items at all. The presentation of these food items was well done also.

We sailed to San Juan for our first day and were only on the island a short time. This scheduling was most unfortunate because since we had been to the island before we know what a wonderful place it is and would have like to explore it once again, but time did not permit. However, we were on the ship's island Labadee for a whole day. I know the ship likes to control lots of money going into its own coffers, but that choice is not right. People want to experience different cultures and the cruise organization should take this into account more when scheduling visits to islands.

Overall we enjoyed ourselves.

Pros: Design of ship was extraordinary from macro to micro spaces allowing for different venues.

Cons: Too much time on your island and not enough time in actual countries [e.g. San Juan]; no venues to listen to music, have a cocktail and dance for non-smokers, entertainment was mediocre except for skating.

Recommends Liberty of the Seas? Yes!

Entertainment
The on ship dancers were very talented, but sometimes the coreography and coordination of music seemed strange - 'water/flying' show. Skating was amazing. The other entertainment was poor.
Ship Quality
Fantastic design and different places. For as large as it is it did not feel overwhelming. It was very clean.
Food and Dining
Quality of food and restaurant variety was good. However, I would recommend going back to at least one restaurant that is open 24/7 with a variety of foods - and one that you don't have to pay extra for. Actually resented having to pay extra for a Jonny Rockets and so did not go. What is that all about?
Cabin / Stateroom
Fine
Service and Staff
Great in every dimension
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
sitting on the beach and have a cold one
Labadee (Cruiseline Private Island)
dissapointed that we were forced to spend time here. seemed like the ship company wanted to control the flow of dollars back into their coffers.
San Juan, Puerto Rico
not enough time to explore this island and was very dissapointed about that
