Legend of the Seas

Sail Date: December 01, 2014

Ship: Legend of the Seas

Cabin Type: Inside

Traveled As: Couple

Review Summary

The ship is a relatively small\, older ship; not many upgrades and new features despite its refurb in the last few years. Due to the size and age of ship\, activities and food choices were limited- a bit boring after 9 days. The staff was generally nice and enthusiastic\, although service\, especially at formal dinner was painfully slow at times. Despite the ship\, being only half full\, it was often difficult to get a seat for breakfast/lunch and at the pool\, even at off peak times.

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Food quality was decent\, about what you'd expect for a cruise. Formal dining choices were limited and often on the poor side for vegetarians. The vegetarian choices on the buffet were surprisingly good and plentiful. Our friends picked the late formal seating\, which I won't do again- it forced us to go to a very early show or skip the show all together (shows are nice\, but not worth seeing at 10:30pm).

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Not many options- was very bored by the end of the 9 day cruise.

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Everyone was very nice and friendly and went out of their way to help.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Clean\, but small. Only 2 small pools (capacity at 40pp!!) and 4 very small hot tubs- 2 of which were always filled with kids.

Cabin / Stateroom

1 out of 5
Ship outdated- very few amenities for someone booking an interior room.

Pros: Friendly staff\, destinations

Cons: small\, older ship

Recommends Legend of the Seas? No.
