Ship Quality
Food and Dining
Main dining room food was nearly always excellent; Windjammer buffet was good\, but not excellent. It took the main dining room two days to get their act together so that cruisers were not standing in line or waiting long periods for food. Main dining room was attractive\, buffet dining area had nice sea views.
Cabin / Stateroom
We were inside on the 2nd deck. The bed was very comfortable and the room was very quiet\, clean\, and reasonably attractive. It was small\, but we expected that.
Service and Staff
The staff was consistently pleasant and helpful.
Stage shows were very good. The Serenade Trio was excellent\, but they sang the same repertoire every night. The guitarist was good\, but performed infrequently and at odd hours. The soul duo was often off-key and the piano player/singer had an unpleasant voice. The 12 Bar jazz band was loud and not especially pleasant to listen to. The dance instruction was fun and there were a lot of opportunities for dancing. The lectures about the ports were mediocre as was the lecture on Van Gogh by the same person. Would have liked more lectures on interesting subjects by better qualified instructors. The cruise director and his staff provided a lot of fun. The library was very small with not much selection. I did enjoy the daily sudoko provided\, but would also have liked a crossword puzzle.
