Western Carribean

Sail Date: April 01, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Inside

Ship was smaller than we took last year. I li think I like the bigger class ships to cruise. There are more options for things to do when at sea.

Pros: The stingray excursion in Georgetown, Grand Cayman

Cons: The repair of the running/walking track on the boat while we were at sea.

Cozumel, Mexico
This port is still recovering from hurricanes in 2005. This is a very touristy stop
Don't Miss: Take a tour of the backside beach. It is a very pretty beach and seems only reserved for the locals.
Belize City, Belize
This is a very poor city, however the cruise lines are helping this city grow. They do seem to make an effort to welcome the cruisers to the city
Don't Miss: Airboat tour of swamps, just like Louisiana
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
This seems like a port developed by RC. It is very touristy. Not a great stop.
Don't Miss: Mayan ruins

Best stop on the cruise. The stingray tour is the best tour I have taken on a cruise ship!
