We went on this cruise August 29, 2008. (Europe/Africa)
My husband and I are usually easy going people. We give everything the benefit of the doubt. However, with this cruise, the staff were actually rude. The first day of the cruise in the Solarium we got some pizza and sat down at the bar to eat. The person at the bar working stated to us, just as we were about to finish the pizza, you can't sit here, you can't eat here, unless you plan to buy a drink! There were many other problems on this cruise. We were actually shocked at all of the other complaints we heard from so many other cruisers on this cruise. Also, staff on this cruise were "flirting" with other staff in front of guests, and we saw two staff members holding hands on the deck. I have reported all of these problems to RCCL and have yet to recieve a response.

The food on this RCCL ship was not up to par with other RCCL ships that we have cruised on before. This is our 5th RCCL cruise, and it was the worst.

Actually on this cruise, there are 2 activity directors a young female with long straight blonde hair and a young man with brown hair. The man was hardly "peppy" and the lady, I spoke to her at the welcome back party and she flipped her hair, looked at me, didn't speak and walked away. There were so many people who complained about this girl on the cruise, she really should not be in the Entertainment department. Also the shows on this cruise, were just "blah" compared to the other RCCL cruises (ex. The Voyager).
Service and Staff

The pursers desk staff were the rudest people ever. We heard many first time cruisers this trip complaining about them. There were two incidents that they were asked to help, and they did not. One morning our safe was flashing "error" at 6am and I called the pursers desk to ask if someone could come take a look. We had a 715am shore excursion to Athens scheduled, he said maintenance would not "be in" until 715am, there was no one there at the time. We explained that our cameras, camcorders, and money were in the safe and he stated, "well then one of you will have to stay in your room and wait, and one of you can go on the shore excursion." Luckily we were able to get it open. Also, the last day we had a charge on our bill that shouldn't have been there. The purser stated, "he was sorry that he couldn't fix it, we stated that this may be our last cruise with RCCL, he actually shrugged his shoulders, looked at the next person and line, and stated next!"

Older ship, not enough room on days at sea for everyone to lay out, we walked around for 2 days at sea for 45 minutes looking for a lounge chair, and finally gave up.
