First cruise, definitely not our last.

Sail Date: March 10, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Legend is a relatively "older" ship and doesn't have all the glitz of the newer members of the fleet, but what it does have was top of the line.

Pros: The service, no wait, it was the food, no I mean the shows.

Cons: The shops being closed while in port.

Ship Quality
Layout is very easy to navigate. No going around to get through. Even though our room was at the very aft, it took little time to get anywhere on the ship.
Food and Dining
There were only 3 dining options, and one was basically just junk food, but there was always something open.
Service and Staff
Above & beyond was the norm, not the exception.
Cozumel, Mexico
The best was last. Tons of activity options, great shopping without a wave of pressure.
Don't Miss: If all you want is a beach day, Playa Mia Beach park is great. Beautiful beach, open bar, food, some shops, plenty of rentals, as relaxed or as busy as you want.
Belize City, Belize
Once you left the tourist landing and went out onto Front St. the pressure from the locals to buy, tour, spend was oppressive. We were directed over the swing bridge to visit the city on foot, where we found the poorest part of the city - dirty, smelly and quite depressing. We quickly returned to the ship.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Tourist village was pleasant with a lot to offer. The Dune Buggy excursion never went off-road, which is what we expected, but was still a great deal of fun, the leaders very entertaining and the beach was beautiful.
George Town, Grand Cayman
The snorkeling was not up to our expectations. The reef was a bit bland and the variety of fish was small, but the excursion crew were great and the outing was still lots of fun.
