Embarkation

3 out of 5
There was a delay in the ship returning from the previous cruise and the line was backed up taking up to two hours to check-in. Disappointed that they did not at least supply water for the people in line. It was warm and muggy.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
Ate four times in main dining room and at three of the specialty restaurants the other three nights. Food was inconsistent. Sometimes it was good and other times very disappointing. The first specialty restaurant was Sel de Mer. Two people ordered lobster and they had to be sent back. Salty and very stringy. I had the sole and it was inedible. While they did not charge for the lobster, it was a disappointing experience. Second restaurant was the Pinnacle grill. Lamb chops were good. porterhouse steak was tasteless. Again, not as expected. Third restaurant was Tamerind, a Japanese restaurant. Everyone enjoyed all the dishes. Was by far the best of the three.

Onboard Activities

Entertainment

4 out of 5
While we did not get to see the singers and dancers, there were a ventriloquist and a comedian. Both were entertaining. By far the best entertainment was by Natalie and Ashley, two Australian piano players and singers. Both could really play, and especially Ashley. They were very entertaining and would do requests as they could.

Children's Programs

no children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the staff were very friendly, helpful, and always willing to do what was necessary to make you happy.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Cabin was on fantail. Nice balcony. Being a newer ship, it had some updated features. Usb ports were available both at vanity and by the bed. Also shower had a glass door rather than the clinging curtain. Attendants were very good and handled our special requests. One note, on most ships today you can review your account and make reservations and shore excursions on the tv. On this ship it was only available through your own personal device, ie Iphone, laptop, etc. The tv was just for entertainment. On the plus side, there were several new movies available for viewing at no cost.
