Tamarind is the place to go for amazing sashimi, sushi, or other Asian favorites. They have something to please everyone on their Earth, Fire, Water, Wood selections as well as amazing appetizers and soups. Make sure to save room for dessert too. I will definitely be trying Tamarind on other Holland America cruises so I can try new foods that I have not had there before.

Very good menu for those who prefer type of food. Sushi was very good. Worth the extra charge.

A favourite of our group. My wife and I went twice and enjoyed totalling different fare each experience being wonderful. A lovely menu offering something for everyone. Its position aft of the ship provides lovely views, which because we were travelling east were sunsets.

The Tamarind is a “must do” venue if cruising with HAL. Impeccable service and the food selection and quality is exceptional. I love the coconut curry and others enjoyed the hot and sweet shrimp and the wasabi encrusted filet mignon. Your meal is a five course Asian fusion experience that you won’t regret and the upcharge is an affordable $25. Enjoy!

Kids really enjoyed it as we all did, great sushi our oldest said. They went back a second time even without us when we did the culinary dinner ( we should of joined them too.)

This is an exceptional restaurant and totally worth the up charge! The menu is Asian Fusion and you’ll get a delicious five course meal including sushi! The coconut curry soup is delicious as is the wasabi encrusted filet! I recommend making reservations at sunset - the view from the Tamarind is spectacular! And go early for a cocktail in the Silk Den! Sake martinis are a must try! Enjoy!
