Review summary

If it wasn't for cruising with a large number of family members and the few great experiences we enjoyed together, this cruise would have been a failure compared to others. I try not to focus on the bad and therefore with cherish the good memories while trying to learn from this experience. I think Jewel of the Seas has a few things to figure out. Hope they do so quickly!

Our family had 8:30 dining at tables 446 & 447. Most of my nights I preferred table 447 due to the great service provided by Imade and Amit. They should be recognized for their outstanding job well done! The one night we ate at Chops was exceptional!

Although we understand and appreciate the staffs over diligent efforts to stop the spread of germs, the overuse of chemicals was causing respiratory distress with my asthma. I had to be very cautious in inclosed areas and use my inhaler often (1st time in over a year). Also couldn't understand why there was the unusual oders of sewage (mainly urine) from public bathrooms that appeared to be clean. Made me fearful of it either being on floors and surfaces or wondering if it was the choice of cleaning products. Either way it left the impression of gross.

This was a very frustrating port with many disappointments. Although the time there should have been filled with beautiful sites, we were left very disappointed in the extreme delays. Our large family group that participated and paid a lot of money for our shore excursion felt taken advantage of and cheated out of the experience it should have been.

This experience was excellent, only due to our parents having a suite and their concierge trying to make my father happy after many disappointments.
