Review summary
All in all the cruise was just what we needed. Time to distress from our work and family lives. The six day crossing was so stress free that I had forgotten what it felt like to have time to myself. The May crossing was colder than I expected but the water was beautiful. Jewel of the Seas is dated and needs a major overhaul but the service and staff was outstanding. The Jewel of the Seas has a staff that is unsurpassed from any other Royal ship I have been on in the last 3 years.Embarkation

Ship tip
Don't take an aft balcony. The ship is dated and when they purge the smoke stacks you are unable to use the balcony until they come and clean it up.
