Sail Date: March 05, 2017 Ship: Jewel of the Seas Reviewed: 9 months ago
Just completed this cruise. Unfortunately we spent 4 days with a lot of rain. The ship was easy to get around, guest services was very good and Diego in the concierge lounge was awesome. We did late traditional dining service was somewhat slow but not every night, food was good not exceptional, they had enough variety. One thing different is the Solarium did not have continental breakfast, lunch or afternoon snacks only late evening snacks so with all the rain days it was the Wind Jamner or Tides for lunch. Bar service at the pool bars not adequately staffed especially when the Solarium bar was not open. The days we did have sun the small pool was very packed but there were a lot of deck chairs for everyone's needs both sun and shade. Staff were friendly throughout the ship. The tours we took were okay. If you want to see the jets at Maho beach I recommend taking a taxi which is about $25 for 2 and not to much more for additional people. Great beachside bar for drinks and food, plus there are plenty of taxis to take you back this is a cheaper option than the ship tour.
