Review summary

the food was the only thing decent about this cruise. The ship was very dirty - the chairs dinning tables, the buttons on the elevators - the shows were the worst !!!

The staff looked like they did not want to be there.

NEVER AGAIN WILL I CRUISE WITH THIS SHIP !!!!

Ship tip

this ship has to be one of the worst as far as cleanliness, staff, entertainment and the Cruise Director goes - we have cruised on many different ships, and this one was the worst !!!

Dambrosine. I'm sure you will really enjoy your cruise. Don't pay too much attention to reviews. Everyone's opinion is always different. It will be your honeymoon cruise it will be what you make it. Have a wonderful time and good luck for your wedding.

We sailed on the Jewel last year in September when it was here on the West Coast, it was our sons first cruise. The youth staff were absolutely outstanding, along with the rest of the crew. We have been on many cruises, and have not come across one that I would flat out say it was the worst. We really enjoyed our time on the Jewel... Just wish it was here as a permanent port. As far as any tips... Think about what you want out of the cruise, and go from there. Google the hell out of the ship you are thinking about going on, where it is going, what time of the year. Look at the weather conditions during that time of year you are thinking of going. Are you going during high season or low season? That makes a huge difference (Less staff per person ratio). Hope this helps

So many mixed reactions. As a first time cruiser going on our honeymoon, this concerns me. Recommendations or tips?

I must be the luckiest guy in the world. I've been on nearly 60 cruises and have never had a bad one. I hope my luck holds out.
