This 11 story hotel/ship was well maintained and\, relatively\, easy to get around in; however it is huge!!
The various restaurants\, and there are many\, appeals to all tastes and groups sizes\, from the Windjammer buffet facility to the small Seaview restaurant\, which serves sandwiches and burgers in a very relaxed atmosphere.
We did not participate in many of the \"social\" activities; however\, there appeared to be many.
While we did want to try to the casino\, since smoking is permitted\, we were very limited in time since we don't enjoy exposing ourselves to second hand smoke.
We participated in three on-shore excursions and two of them were very nice; the third (a trip to a waterfall) seemed excessively long.
Food and Dining

We chose the dine \"anytime\" option and enjoyed that. We ate at all the restaurants except Chops and had a good experience in all. We particularly enjoyed the Tides dining room; which\, based on our option\, required nightly reservations and we were seated in the same servers section each night near a window. The \"speciality\" changes each night so the variety is good and the service was\, generally\, excellent. For those that like to meet people\, you might consider the fixed reservation times; which is another option and which places you at a table of 8 or more.
The \"con\" on the drink package - I purchased the unlimited soda & beer package. However\, on the first day\, I found that you could only refill your cup every 15 minutes (not quite UNLIMITED) and could only get soda in the Windjammer restaurant between the hours of 7 a.m. & 9 p.m. Next time\, I'll use the price for the \"all in\" package and compare it to other cruise line offerings.

We only engaged in the off-shore excursions and the very best was the zip line in Barbados. Highly recommend!! The waterfall excursion on St. Lucia was too long in an open air vehicle; however\, the guide was very informative as to the products raised on the island (we learned about cocoa beans\, the source of balsamic vinaigrette\, bananas\, etc.)
Service and Staff

Overall - this is the strength of the experience. For the most\, all of the staff went way above & beyond to insure that we had a wonderful experience. The steward (Jermaine) was a joy\, decorating our bed with towels each night in some configuration of an animal and the bartender (Victor) at the pool side bar was very engaging and provided superior service.

The layout of the ship\, once you get used to it\, is pretty straight forward. The only awkward layout is when you have to disembark from the front of the ship and your room is in the aft. We had to wind around hallways to get to that part of the ship.
As mentioned\, the cleanliness of the ship is immaculate and the condition is good.
Cabin / Stateroom

We had an interior state room; which we won't do again. We thought\, based on an excursion every day that we wouldn't be in the room that much. However\, the small size of the room\, even with limited time\, was almost claustrophobic and very dark. Next time\, we'll get one of the rooms with a veranda on the outside of the ship. That said - we don't fault Royal Caribbean for the room - it was as \"advertised\".
