The ship really did not show its age and was kept up nicely. Captain Thor was probably the most visible and sociable captain of any ship we have been on. Most of the crew was very helpful and courteous. The variety of activities have really diminished in the cruise line industry and this ship was definitely no exception. They even had the movie Lone Ranger in the main Coral room as the nightly entertainment one night. On several nights they only had one performance so then only one dinner seating could attend and the shows they did have were mediocre at best but they also had one night of very good comedy. Royal Caribbean does do a good job of people control as the ship rarely felt crowded.

Food and Dining

The food was so-so. The food in the Windjammer was pretty good but did not have much variety from day to day. All the breakfasts seemed to be pretty much the same. The food in the MDR was good but not a lot of menu choices especially if you wanted normal American food that wasn't stuffed full of overpowering spices. Some of us just like good plain food. The food portions have really gotten smaller but that was okay as they sure didn't mind if you ordered an extra entre which sure beats having a lot of wasted food. The Sea View caf which was open when the Windjammer wasn't did have some very good food.

Just seemed to lack much variety or quality. Felt odd to be walking around a cruise ship in the evening looking for something to do. Only one night did the ship have any activities at night on the Lido deck. This cruise had a port just about everyday so were tired a night anyway but would have been really disappointed if there had been a lot of sea day with this little to do.
