Enjoyable cruise and destination

Sail Date: December 01, 2012

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

Fairly smooth boarding process and making landfall. Note that the ship will anchor off of Grand Cayman and tender you on boats to the pier.

Pros: Good service & food\, excellent vacation with kids and parents\, excellent classical guitarist

Cons: They usually had other vegan options\, but repeated linguini pomodoro every night

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Two parents (who sometimes needed a cane) appreciated the ship layout and floors\, as well as handrails throughout.
Food and Dining
Liked the dining room and early seating; it was the highlight of the cruise. They had vegetarian options at all meals\, and were accommodating when we asked to delete dairy products. Waiters were exceptionally friendly\, courteous\, and made everyone feel special.
Cabin / Stateroom
My parents requested and got a handicap stateroom\, which had plenty of room\, hand rail grips\, and a shower without a step-over.
Service and Staff
Friendly wait staff and entertainment staff. They were accommodating of extra requests\, such as extra salad or vegetable sides.
Liked the rock-climbing wall.
