Review summary

Had a great time on this cruise!  We had excellent service aboard the Jewel of the Seas.  This was our first time visiting the Caribbean islands of St. Thomas, St. Croix, Martinique and St. Lucia.  We were a bit disappointed with Martinique. That being said, we were in port there on the last day of Mardi Gras and all of the shops were closed. IF we were to return there someday, would like to tour the island for a touch of it's local "flavor".

Ship tip

Excellent food choices in the Windjammer at any time of the day. The Solarium is a nice restful place to enjoy a drink and relax.

We booked our own excursion when in port. The locals take you to all the main sights at a fraction of the cost of booking thru the ship

Frederiksted, St. Croix, U.S.V.I.

Best of all the islands. We booked a tour that was again thru the locals for $65.00 per person. They fed us, plenty to drink and hit many of the sights that we thoroughly enjoyed!
