First cruise on ROYAL CARIBBEAN

Beautiful ship, but a bad experience.   We had dinner one night at Seaview Cafe which is on very back of ship and away from things.  When leaving, we tried to cut thru the Windjammer Restaurant because it was raining on deck.  It was closing but workers were still there.  They would not allow us to pass thru in order to stay off deck and out of pouring rain.  We had no choice then but to walk the deck in pouring rain until we found an access door to the inside of ship.  I reported this to Guest Relations and was told later that workers were mopping and it would have been a safety issue.  There was ABSOLUTELY no mopping taking place and floors were not wet.  One of the workers in Windjammer told us "too much trouble" to open door and let us pass through.   We were already inside the Windjammer when we asked if we could pass thru the other door which led directly into the ship and would have kept us out of the rain on deck.  We had to return to our cabins (4 of us) and change into dry clothes.   This was a BIG disappointment as I'd always considered Royal Caribbean a step above the rest in cruise ships.  This was our first cruise with this line (our 7th cruise) and this tarnished what could have been a wonderful trip for my husband, son, daughter in law and myself.   (Was their Christmas gift from us)

we cruise often but probably won't be considering the RC line for future cruises.
