First Time Cruisers

Sail Date: December 01, 2011

Reviewed: 4 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

We were first-time cruisers and pleased with the overall experience. Ship was beautiful and well maintained. Housekeeping and dinner staff were excellent. Food was mediocre...cafeteria quality in the Windjammer...Tides was marginally better...Chef's recommendation was usually your best choice.

Pros: Ship was beautiful, well maintained and clean, plenty of activities. Staff was excellent at dinner and housekeeping for our stateroom. Schooner Bar...bit disappointing. Waited forever before someone noticed we had even sat down.

Cons: Food in the Windjammer...it was cafeteria quality. Tides 2nd seating was marginally better if you went with the "Chef's recommendation.

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
