Having been on 7 cruises by the age of 30 and experienced 4 other cruise lines(P&O, Princess, Norwegian and Costa) my husband and I were really looking forward to travelling on Royal Carribean, Jewel of the Seas. The ship is nice, just the right size and easy to navigate. The service is good, the food average. The biggest disappointment was Royal Carribean's decision to change the itinerary (the cruise originally included only 5 ports over 14 days). RCL unilaterally changed the itinerary to only 3 of the original 5 ports advertised. They provided NO compensation. In 7 cruises, this is the first time this has happened to us and the last time we will travel on RCL.

Pros: Ship was easy to navigate

Cons: Royal Carribean unilaterally changing the itinerary & removing a port without compensation

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? No.
