Beautiful ship, great value

Sail Date: January 07, 2007

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Balcony

The Jewel of the Seas was a beautiful ship and extremely well-maintained. Our stateroom was impeccable and having a balcony really added to our experience aboard the ship. The Solarium was one of our favorite places to relax quietly on board and we never had trouble finding lounge chairs. Plenty of activities to keep us busy and lots of little eateries to snack throughout the day could be found. Having ridden both Princess and Celebrity, I found the food aboard the Jewel to be mediocre at best. The premium dining room, Chops, however, was fabulous and well worth the extra $20. Absolutely amazing steaks and service. All in all, we felt we got a great value for our money and enjoyed the ship.
