The transatlantic cruise on the Jewel of the Seas was wonderful. This cruise is for those individuals that love the days at sea and exotic ports of call. It also is a perfect balance between "sun and fun" and "relax and cruise." The cruise left from Ft. Lauderdale, Fl to Bermuda. The weather was perfect for laying by the pool and soaking up rays. Since you stay in Bermuda for two days, there is plenty of time to shop and lay on the beautiful beaches. After Bermuda, the ship crosses the Atlantic. You are at sea for 5 days straight, which is wonderful for us cruise lovers. There is plenty to do on the ship, including shows, casino, bars, classes, and of course, eating. It was also nice to sit down with a good book and relax. The passengers on the ship are mainly retired, so if you are looking for a party cruise, this is not the trip for you. While the ship has about 2000 passengers, there were people I had never seen before when I got off the boat. After relaxing on the seas, we visted Portugal, Spain, France, Belgium, and the UK. While there was not enough time to see everything at these ports, it did give us a taste of each country. Overall, it was a wonderful trip and one that my new wife and I enjoyed.

Must see the beaches. They are beautiful. A walk on Front St. is also fun.

Take the day trip to Paris. You won't see everything, but you will get a great feel for the romantic city.

Go to Brugge and do the beer tasting tour. Not only do you get to see the nice city, but you get to taste some great beer.
Don't Miss: Must have a choclate covered waffle.

Must go to Cascais. It is a resort town with great beaches and shopping.

Pros: The ports of call

Cons: It is an older crowd
