Great cruise, plan on doing it again

Room Type: Balcony

We recently sailed on Jewel of the Seas, first time with Royal Carribean. The convenience sailing from Boston made it that much better. The ship was spotless, areas identified well, and fairly easy to maneuver about. We had a terrific time.

Pros: close proximity to home, terrific organization from cruise staff

Cons: not enough time in Bermuda

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
public areas well maintained, decor was lovely, caught our attention, relaxing. Ship
size was perfect , we were able to maneuver about in timely fashion. Layed out well. Found the public restrooms not as clean as expected, especially areas about theatre, casino etc.
Food and Dining
Food was good at dining room, served hot and in timely fashion. Windjammer, stations
were not always stocked, frequently found empty or near empty serving containers.
Main dining room too congested. Felt packed in !! difficulty passing with ease.
Entertainment
Attended evening programming, felt staff delievered. Felt room for improvement. Much room for improvement. No Wow factor with performances !!!
Cabin / Stateroom
Stateroom well maintained, beds comfortable, a bit of a tight squeeze however. Had stateroom , balcony, which we fully enjoyed, however, could only pass by, one at a time, due to tight area from foot of bed to wall. Location was fine. Beds were comfortable
Service and Staff
Dining room service, waiter, assistant waiter were terrific. Personal touch, anticipated our needs, and delivered !! Other than mornings, did not see many staff members about.
