Review Summary

The ship was one of the best we've been on ( we've been on 30 cruises). However we never really got "settled" into a comfortabel dinnig situation, Initially we were given main seating At 8:30 pm it was far too late. On the third day of cruise we were swithced to earlly seating, but we had made arrangements for Portifino specialty restaurant and did not meet our "table mates" till the end of the cruise. We tried many times to get reservations at "Chops" but we were always told that it was booked solid...even on the roughest night!!!

Ship Experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
See above comments. One evening we opted for the Windjammer, it was ok. the food variety was great, service average...it took a good deal of time to order wine...the wait-person never returned to ask if we'd like additional glasses of wine. The prime-rib was nicely carved but ice cold. When it was sent back( it took 10 minutes to reheat) it was STILL cold, we gave up and opted for the pasta dishes.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
For a ship of this size the entertainment was simply SUB-STANDARD. We've seen much better quality and pizzaz on other RCL and Celeberty Ships. The entertainment was a big disapointment.

Service and Staff

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Everything was great about the ship, but the Centrum elavators were often slow

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our stateroom would have qualiified as a semi-suite on other ships we've sailed on

Ports Of Call

King's Wharf, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Don't Miss: It was never mentioned, because there was no "port talk" but the $12.00 one day pass on all busses and ferries would be highly recommended

Pros: The jewel of the Seas and Bermuda

Cons: Vacation Outlet sly sales pitch at beginning of cruise and dinning arrangements

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!
