Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Oceanview

overall good cruise and a nice ship, dinning rooms over crowded and not enough deck chairs to lay on or lay with your family by pool. Casino is not smoke free, though it did offer some non smoking nights. Showes and room attendants where wonderful. Rock climbing always fun. My teens loved it, however my 11 year old had very little to do, did not care for their explorer program for kids her age.

Pros: the shows

Cons: over crowded

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
very clean convient layout, needs larger public areas, lobbies and dinning room. Waiters are trying to handle too many tables so you do not get first rate service.
Food and Dining
The food we had was excellent, the selection could be better.
Cabin / Stateroom
we managed with three in a room and where fine.
Service and Staff
some where exceptional and the dinningroom needs work.
Children's Programs
14 year old loved it, the 11 year old didn't .....
Entertainment
great variety and quality
Nassau, Bahamas
Always enjoy, snorkeling was good the views are beautiful a fun island.
Charlotte Amalie, St. Thomas
We prefered the docks by the city that you could stroll through the streets, the new port is strip malls all in one parking lot, not very island like.
Road Town, Tortola, B.V.I.
Nothing is there, if you had a snorkoling tour it might have been ok, it is very underdeveloped with pushy people all around.
Don't Miss: skip this island
San Juan, Puerto Rico
walking distance to forts and shopping
Don't Miss: the iguanas at the fort.
Philipsburg, St. Maarten
this was are favorite this time, took a tour, butterflys and marigot shopping both kids and adults enjoyed, the history behind the split island.
