A VERY NICE SHIP

Sail Date: January 21, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

The Jewel of the Seas has a great layout, not too big, or small. Crew was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were adequate in size and storage for clothing good. This was our
second cruise on this ship we liked it so much the first
time. Solarium pool area very nice place to chill out, we
like the way it was designed. Very nice ship overall. We liked the atrium bar area which normally didn't apeal to us
on other ships we've been on.

Pros: The ship size and layout, also friendly, great crew

Cons: Only two dining times in main dining room, one too early, one a little late

Recommends Jewel of the Seas? Yes!

Food and Dining
Only two dining times in main dining room. One in my opinion
too early, the other a little late. Not impressed by food in
main dining room. Windjammer cafe food was very good.
Cabin / Stateroom
Nice outside stateroom. Bed not overly comfortable. Adequate
storage.
Entertainment
Ship Quality
Ship was spotless, decor not over the top, very classic.
Service and Staff
Staff was great. Stateroom attendant was excellent, always
had ice, room always cleaned right away. Guest Relations very
friendly.
Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico
Unless you take a tour not much to do.
George Town, Grand Cayman
Turtle Farm a waste of time. Not much to see on island.
Key West, Florida
Not a whole lot to do in Key West. Nice place to walk around do a little shopping. Sloppy Joes a must to eat or have a drink at. Best Key Lime Pie I have ever had.
Cozumel, Mexico
Good place to buy mexican pottery. Silver prices have gone up considerably in last few years. Good snorkeling. Great Margheritas.
