Review summary

The ports of call were wonderful and highly enjoyable; however, the ship and accommodations were not. The balcony room was significantly smaller than the balancing rooms I have had on prior cruises. This included a much smaller bathroom. I am used to small showers, but this one was so small that I struggled to wash my hair without bruising my elbow on the wall. I guess I expected more from Princess than Carnival and I was mistaken.

The Island Princess is a little older and smaller than some of the other Princess ships, but still a nice ship. Comparing it to a new ship is like comparing a new car to a 20 year old car. The newer model will always seem better.
