CRUISING ALASKA

Sail Date: June 01, 2006

Reviewed: 6 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Suite

The ship was clean and well managed We always enjoy the Italian restaurant and recommend it to anyone. We were disappointed in the quality of the food in the restaurants(Bordeaux/Provence}. As stated above, we did not feel that the quality of the entertainment was as good as it had been in the past.. I also had a requirement for distilled water for a medical device and had difficulty conveying to the room steward and his boss that it was not spring water. We had to finally tell them where we thought it could be found on the ship. We also encountered this problem on the land portion of the trip. In that instance, at a Princess lodge, we were told to walk a mile to a Safeway store.

Pros: The cruise to Alaska was a wonderful experience. The ship did a great job in having guest speakers aboard that were informative and interesting.

Cons: We were disappointed in the quality of the food and the entertainment. This was our 4th cruise with Princess and we were surprised at the difference from the past cruises.
