Review summary

The Island Princess was fantastic! This cruise was great, the ports were great the food of course was the best! Great service on the ship and overall friendly staff. No problems at all.

Princess has anytime dining and that is the best because you can go and eat in the fancy dining anytime you want. The meals are great and the desserts, well there is simply not enough space to talk about the desserts. Hmmm!!!

They had good comedy shows. The rest of the shows we are not interested in, but I am sure they would be enjoyable if you liked that sort of thing.

We went on the sail and swim. This was the most awesome tour because we swam at a deserted beach area. Even if you are not that great of a swimmer, take this tour. They anchor in real close to the shore and you can wear your life jacket to the beach. I'm a chicken and I did this and loved it! On the way back we saw 20 or more whales. It was fantastic!

Beautiful port town! Nice little shopping market too! We went on a tour of Rivas. I suggest you take a different tour becuase other than the church in the town there was nothing. We also went to Lake Nicaragua. That was very pretty.

Take a tour. Nothing but a little shopping at the port and the closest town is San Juan and there is nothing to see.

We didn't take a tour, so I am sure we would have enjoyed Costa Rica if we had gone on a tour. We just wondered around the town and there wasn't much to do or see.

Don't Miss: Take a tour to the rain forest or something, not much to see in the town.

Dunn's River Falls was so awesome. Even if you don't want to climb the falls you can relax in the water anyway and there is a large boardwalk to walk along and places to get in the water. This is a great place to cool off from the hot day!

I was very surprised on how beautiful it was. We went to the Fortress and La Popa Monastary tour. Both were worthy of your time, but it is very humid and hot so be prepared.

Pros: Transition through the canal.

Cons: On the return trip having to go through LAX. We waited in security for over an hour in the cold.
