Don't Use for your cruise

Sail Date: January 01, 2013

I will NEVER again book a cruise through .
cruise is different than flights. If you book a cruise through cruise\, \, you have to book a flight totally separately and they have no connection to each other. If you want ground transportation from the airport to the ship\, the ship will not book it for you\, you have to use .
We had a flight change which was obviously not reviewed by and was not getting us to our destination. We had to re-book our flight through flights. We were to have our flight change verification sent to us\, but after several phone calls\, never did receive verification. We did our own verification through the airline.
We had to book our ground transfers though since the cruise line wouldnt do it because we used \, but again\, never received any email verification. We were told that the transfer from the ship would be at 11:30. Based on this information\, we booked our flight for 2:00 PM\, allowing for customs\, etc. We found out the night before we left the ship that transfers booked through RCCL via was 7-8 AM. We would have booked an earlier flight instead of sitting at the airport for 7 hours. We were also told that the transfers would be included in our ship boarding passit was not.
If you have to pay more to keep things in order by scheduling via cruise line or other travel agencyits worth it.
Neither RCClnor has English proficient speaking employees which complicates the experience when trying to sort things out.
At this point I just hope I have enough documentation on my own to get to where I want to go and back thanks to .
Dont waste your money on the soft drink or water packages. There are plenty of drinks\, ie: water\, ice tea\, kiwi fruit\, etc.
Sounded like cruise employees were working from home.
Do not use to plan a cruise.

Pros: Weather

Cons: Booking Nightmare

Recommends Independence of the Seas? Yes!

Ship Quality
Ship was nice and clean.
Food and Dining
Service was poor. The assistant waiter was overwhelmed and we had to sit with empty glasses\, empty bread\, and dirty plates. Main Entrees were less than expected. Meat\, ie: prime rib almost seemed like processed meat...the texture was terrible and the same can be said for other entree's. The appetizers and desserts were just average. If it was a restaurant\, I wouldn't go back.
Cabin / Stateroom
Our room was a nice size\, comfortable bedding. We had a ocean view at the front of the ship and it was very nice.
Service and Staff
Staff was friendly and helpful. Service around the pools and certain lounges was less than expected. They add 15% to everything you purchase with your seapass.
The evening entertainment was exceptional.
