Nice ship, so-so staff

Sail Date: April 01, 2014

Reviewed: 2 years ago

Traveled As: Family (older children)

Room Type: Balcony

The ship could use some minor updates. However\, the design was open and comfortable. The stateroom was great! The spa was large with new equipment.

Pros: The ship was beautiful

Cons: Food Service

Recommends Independence of the Seas? No.

Ship Quality
It is a large ship will large public spaces. The ship and public areas all clean and well kept.
Food and Dining
Marginal food quality and poor service
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was very nice and the service was perfect
Service and Staff
The quality of service depended on the function. Room service was strong\, but bar and food was very weak.
Entertainment
4 stars driven by the wonderful main shows. They ship needed additional evening entertainment options.
Children's Programs
12 and 17 year old did not like programs. They have enjoyed the programs on other ships.
