Review summary

This cruise was every thing that it promised to be and everything we expected. The food was delicious (and generous). The entertainment and on board amenities were as advertised. And the staff was very helpful and outgoing. This was our first cruise and will, more than likely, be our last. We are glad that we tried it and are grateful for the experience, we are just not cruise people. We'd rather spend a week exploring the history, nature, and culture of ONE place, not little snippets of 5 places.

Convenient to beach hotels.

Basseterre, St. Kitts

Most Island-like with VERY nice locals. Get a beer from the locals at Friar's Beach.

Philipsburg, St. Maarten

Best for shopping. Get a bucket of Beers at the East end of the Boardwalk.

San Juan, Puerto Rico

Best for History. Take a walk through the Old City. Say hi to a stray cat. Pay $5 to see both forts (the national park service operates a free transport between them.)

Labadee (Cruise Line Private Island)

Very Commercialized. We ate a lavish BBQ lunch while locals begged for food on the other side of a barbed-wire fence. Heartbreaking.
