We went on the first 4 day cruise out of Ft. Lauerdale. The ship itself was very nice. Our balcony room had a foul smell and was taken care of only on 2nd day. The food had too much Indian (curry) and Asian flavors. My husband had food poisoning and stayed in the cabin for 3 out of 4 days. The desserts were tasteless, and food of poor quality. The waiting staff was very disorganized and were bickering among themselves. Plates sitting on tables for long time until waiters came to clean. We went on Navigator last year and enjoyed the cruise much more than the cruise on Independence of the Seas. Don't waste your money on the bigger ship.
