Review summary

I cannot over-emphasize the importance of not allowing youself to be placed in any U200 and up rooms. During most docking/leaving times you could just leave the room and get away from the noise (after securing items so they didn't vibrate off the shelves, of course). However, when it started in at 3 a.m. when we were returning to Mobile, it was not reasonable for us to leave the room. The assault on the senses for that length of time was terrible. It really ruined what otherwise would have been a lovely vacation.

Ports of call

Cozumel, Mexico

We did not do an excursion this time but in the past did the glass sided boat and really enjoyed that.

Progreso (Merida), Mexico

We took an excursion that went to Mayan ruins and to a ranch for lunch and a show. It was an excellent excursion. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful and the food was excellent. However, wait until Cozumel to purchase shirts, etc. They were much cheaper and of better quality there than in Progreso.

Pros: The ship was small enough to make it easy to get around. I am directionally challenged so I have felt lost on some bigger ships. The food was great. The wait staff and room staff were all friendly and helpful.

Cons: Our room was U204, next to the engine room. The noise from the engine for an hour during docking and leaving port was horrible. Everything in the room vibrated to the point of items falling off shelves.
