Only the itinerary---through the Panama Canal, saved the trip. This is a VERY tired ship. Serious and on-going problems with the air-conditioning, plumbing, and sustained poor attitude of far too many crew members. The frequent excuse offered was that the ship had been "used to just doing 3 and 4 day party cruises." What has that got to do with basics like cleanliness and attitude? At one stop the tender operation took more than 3 hours!!! On a nightly basis, dinner took 2 hours, including 30 + minutes for entrees to arrive. Coffee makers/juice dispensers were broken for the entire 16 days of the cruise. The dinner selections, while varied and enticing and served attractively, were actually very ordinary re taste and the portions were far too small. Cabin and dining service were good, as was the entertainment. We never saw the captain during the entire cruise, even at the captain's party! Problems start at the top and it certainly shows on the Holiday. We are veteran cruisers who were very disappointed with our first Holiday experience. We won't be back.
