We drove down to mobile, AL from evansville, IN. We made very good time. When we got there we were greeted by a porter that helped us tag our luggage and pointed us to where we could go to park our car. We get in line to find out that it is 75 dollars to park your car. We weren't aware of that. There is no where else to park that won't get your car towed. We go through the process of verifying who we are with little hassle. They go to take your picture before you get on board and we tried to tell the photographer that we were married and wanted our picture together but he smiled nodded and took it separate anyway. Not too big a deal but still kinda left us feeling meh from the get go. We get on board both of us carrying a few bags each to find we couldn't get into our room for a couple hours. No big deal. They had a buffet waiting for us for lunch while we waited. We get into our room and it was pretty spacious. We got a room with no view. We actually kinda liked it better that way because when you go on a cruise away from your 5 children you prolly intend to catch up on sleep. When we wanted to sleep it was 100% pitch black and we both loved that. We look at the provided information sitting on the desk in our room to find that there is a 10 dollar a day per person gratuity automatically deducted that you HAVE to pay. It was a good thing I had plenty of money or that combined with the parking fee would have ended the trip. I already remembered that soda was gonna be a pay per drink along with any alcohol. We drank what was free for the most part. Every alcoholic drink was approximately 4-5 dollars a piece with a bucket of 4 beers being 17 dollars. We were there to party and relax so we just went along with it.

We took an excursion here. After the excursion they said they would take us back to the boat or to town for no charge as part of the excursion. We went into town for lunch and shopping. A cab ride back to the boat was 7 dollars. Very reasonable.

Only shopping that can be done with no cab ride was a strip of 5-6 dirt shops with all similar things and none of them worth buying from. A cab ride one way was 16 dollars. We didn't bring alot of cash so we had no choice but to stay on the boat all day. Kind of a bummer but what else could we do?

Overall I would definitely do it again. Great food, nothing wrong with the ship's water supply, every employee was super nice and did anything to make things better. It was a great honeymoon for my wife and me and we intend to make it an every other year thing.
