This ship is small and very old! It is time for it to be retired. Thank goodness we were traveling with a group of 20 or this would have been a dreadful vacation! The food was aweful (dried out fish and fowl smelling once at lunch, could not cook red meat to liking for most of our party several nights), had some very rude servers in the dining room at breakfast and lunch, unknowledgeable bar waitstaff, tiled floor around one of the hot tubs, someone in our party was hurt from a fall on this wet tile!!! A lawsuit wairing to happen! Other hot tub was completely covered with non-skid material around hot tub. Water in cabins (sink and shower) was rusty looking! Walls and drawers rattled all night long from the vibration of the ship - even up to the dining room! Staterooms were very clean and comfortable otherwise. Cabin steward was excellent! Cruise director and entertainment were great. There were far too many bad things about this cruise to recommend, this was my 2nd Carnival cruise and 7th time sailing all together. I feel like I know what to expect on a cruise. First time cruisers don't know any better! If this was my first time sailing w/ carnival, I would NEVER try them again!

Food and Dining

Food was terrible, dining rooms were very outdated and our table vibrated every night at dinner. Dining times were fine, ambiance - NONE. Good variety of food, but unfortunately it was not of good quality.

Great except for that there were A LOT of areas on the ship where you could not hear any announcements. We always had to run somewhere to listen! Again, could have been due to the age of the ship!

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
No one went above and beyond except for our cabin steward. The cruise director and her staff did a very nice job as well! Our dining room servers at dinner were very good and friendly. Had terrible service one day at lunch in the dining room, our party was told to sit down and stop talking and order because the dining room was closing! Not our fault there was a 20 minute wait to be seated for lunch! Had the same jerk at breakfast one morning and he constantly was clearning things off our table when we were not fininshed! He was a real charm! We came across several bar staff that had no idea of the whether premium liquor was extra in the "drink specials". Some said yes and some said no! There were not a lot of floating servers either, we always had to be on the look out for one when we were around the pool! No one went above and beyond besides our cabin steward and the cruise director!

Ship Quality

1 out of 5
Public restrooms were not the cleanest! Public areas looked okay, it could have been the old decor that made it look shabby and not so clean. Main deck where you enter the ship reminded me of a party boat that goes out in to the ocean for drinking and gambling. Ship was small, but was nice with out tons of people.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Very clean and comfortable. Water in the stateroom was a different story - looked rusty!

Pros: Cabin Steward was excellent, cabins were clean and roomy!

Cons: Ship is VERY old, walls rattled, bad plumbing, rusty looking water, some rude waitstaff, FOOD was disgusting, the list goes on!

Recommends Holiday? No.
