Leaving Alabama

Sail Date: October 01, 2009

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Oceanview

Although the ship is 20+ years old, it has been very well maintained, The staff was not the best I have had on a cruise, but they did try. The seemed to be short staffed in the dining area, as we waited long amounts of time each night at dinner. The late night buffet was the worst I have seen on any cruise, more like the food served at summer camp(Hot dogs, Burgers, Fries). There were plenty of activities to keep one busy. We had an outside stateroom with a window, and the bathroom and our overall room, were larger any the Royal Caribean ship we were on last year, but not as large as the Disney ships rooms. Overall a nice cruise for first timers and if you just need a few days to getaway.

Pros: Stateroom size

Cons: Buffet, lack of dress enforcement

Recommends Holiday (RETIRED)? No.

Food and Dining
Long waits in the main dining room at dinner, only two buffet lines meant long waits in the optional dining area. It was hard to keep the food warm.
Ship Quality
This is a very small ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
The room was clean, the bed was comfy.
Service and Staff
Despite the long waits in the dinig room our table staff was very friendly.
Shows were good but not great, Small stage
