An Amazing Adventure!

Sail Date: April 11, 2009

Reviewed: 7 years ago

Traveled As: Couple

Room Type: Oceanview

This was our first cruise experience and we are still overwhelmed with the experience! It felt like time had frozen while we were on Carnival Holiday. You actually live, eat, and sleep on the boat. They had tons of activities that fit each age group daily. We were impressed with the Carnival staff and their superior friendliness.

Pros: Dancing shows!

Cons: Occassional motor shifting during each night when we tried to sleep.

Recommends Holiday (RETIRED)? Yes!

Ship Quality
The layout of one floor on the ship is confusing. You have to go down or up one floor to get to the other end of the floor. Of course, what do you expect with a cruise filled with various rooms?
Food and Dining
My husband said the food are delicious. To me, I think it is okay. The chilled soups are delicious! The warm melting cake is the bestest!
Cabin / Stateroom
We loved our bed, especially the down comfort blanket and pillows!
Service and Staff
They check your room twice a day, once to clean the room, 2nd time for the towel animals. They also have unlimited room service.
Entertainment
The only con is that there was a swing dance class during our late seating dinner.
Children's Programs
The children and teens are able to meet new friends on the cruise.
Cozumel, Mexico
Clear kayaking and snorkel adventure! It is true to its name, you can see through your boat to the bottom. We saw Dory!
Don't Miss: clear kayaking excursion
Progreso (Merida), Mexico
The beach right beside the port seems to be the Corona Beach Party and we found broken glasses. Their open market is cheap, some of them are half the price of Cozumel, such as the hammocks
Don't Miss: shopping
