DIsaster at Sea

Sail Date: July 01, 2007

Reviewed: 9 years ago

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Inside

The ship is too old, the decor and ambience was too rustic and seemed filthy, i did not want to walk in my stateroom without shoes. The water come out of the faucets and nasty yellow color and irritated my skin all over, especially my face. If you don't like to gamble til 3am then there was nothing else to occupy your time. The swimming pools on board were overcrowded and seemed to be unsanitary. The community laudry room on each deck of the ship was usually backed up for ironing purposes and the some staff members although working with a diverse group seemed racist.

Pros: The 1 thing was the wait staff in formal dining room...

Cons: Yello water from the faucets - not enough events to keep me entertained because i dont; gamble

Recommends Holiday (RETIRED)? No.

Service and Staff
nothing spectacular, i went into this thinking i would be waited on hand and foot and i did not at all feel like a queen more like pauper.
Children's Programs
i saw too many kids, when there was supposed to be a program set to keep them occupied
Food and Dining
Food in the formal dining area was as good as expected and acually the only meal that i looked forward to all day.
Ship Quality
Nasty! Unsanitary conditions- I did not get into the swimming pool once while we sailed. Some elevators only went to certain floors and it was hot, stuffy, and uncomfortable in some areas of the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
room was very small, decor was horrible, the whole feel of the room is not relaxing and does not send signals that one should relax because this is vacation. The yellow water was nasty and i had an allergic reaction.
gambling really the only option. Karaoke was really weird with the schedule and what times were alotted for kids vs adults. comedy show was horrible.
